Here at Gosfield Hall we are thinking of making May our ‘National Let’s get married at Gosfield Hall month’- this idea stems from having a staggering 28 weddings taking place this May at our beautiful venue!
May is one of the most beautiful months of the year as historically the snow and ice are gone and the hot temperatures have arrived! The wild flowers are blooming and the trees and grass have all turned a bright green. Many birds have built their nests, and mother birds are sitting on their eggs which will soon hatch. We all know the saying “April showers bring May flowers” and Gosfield Hall’s gardens are truly spectacular in the summer months!
May is the month for lots of bright and amazing flowers and here are the most popular ones for May weddings:
The Aster Flowers are available in a wide range of colours and are considered an enchanted flower. This flower represents being “lucky” to be in love and also patience.
Lavender flowers represent purity, silence and luck. They are known to represent devotion and they have a wonderful perfume scent. They also compliment the colour scheme in our Grand Salon beautifully!
Often called, “The Floral Celebrity,” Stargazer Lilies are young, bold, beautiful and dramatic. Stargazers are thought to represent innocence and purity and are known for their striking blooms and heavenly scent.
Miniature Calla Lilies are a traditional symbolism of marriage. The main meanings of the Calla Lily are beauty and magnificence, and have become a symbol of elegance and sophistication so definitely a perfect choice for a Gosfield Hall wedding!
The days in May are longer so the best day of your life will be the longest. We all want our wedding day to last forever!
Gosfield Hall would like to wish all 28 of our couples getting married in this wonderful month a joyous and sunny day!
