Snapshots of a wedding day at Gosfield Hall

With a beautiful white exterior and a glamorous interior, our award-winning wedding venue Gosfield Hall has seduced many a bride and groom over the years. This Georgian masterpiece in Essex is a superb location for a dream wedding. Taken at the many happy weddings we’ve had at this wonderful venue, look at some of these phenomenal shots taken by our professional photographers.

Balancing focal points and capturing finer details Balancing focal points

This shot by Ben Brown of Lavenham Photographic is notable for its panning, high camera angle that provides a striking view of the chandelier, staircase, wedding cake and the tapering dress of the bride.

We love how Ben’s shot captures the charms of the finer details within the picture. This includes the delicate decoration along the side of the rug that lines the staircase, the festive decor lining the banister, the carved curves of the chandelier and the wedding cake. It’s a photograph that expertly balances the bride and groom and their surroundings as the main focal points, producing a photograph that highlights both in equal measure.

Contrasting coloursContrasting colours

This photograph by our highly popular wedding day photographer, Neil Bailey from Neil Bailey Photos Ltd, is interesting for its interplay of colours. He draws attention to the stark white of the snow and the bride’s wedding dress, playing off the hot pink of the bridesmaids’ dresses and the fuchsia accents of the Groom and groomsmen’s ties. These hues are intensified by the dark suits and by the bright blue of the sky behind.

Romance and styleRomance and style

This lovely wedding day photograph by husband and wife duo Simon and Hayley Brasier from EPS Photography catches our eye for many reasons. Firstly, it makes fabulous use of our gorgeous Gosfield Hall fountain, making a strong aesthetic statement. It’s the perfect location for a romantic embrace between the couple and gives the photograph an the feel of an old period drama. The warm glow surrounding the couple and the grounds also adds to the incredibly romantic feel of the picture.

In addition, the violet haze of the skyline brings an element of drama and a deeper intensity to the shot – taking the photograph beyond a well-captured romantic piece, to something more captivating.
