A Mansion Wedding Venue in the Heart of Essex

Previously a Royal Palace, Gosfield Hall in Essex invites you and your guests to a day you will never forget. Hosting only one wedding per day, you will have exclusive use of this elegant & historic house.

Make your way through the stunning grounds embossed with manicured lawns - the epitome of neat. Enter Queen Charlotte’s oak-panelled gallery and walk its 120-foot aisle. Alternatively, the high hand-painted ceiling in the Grand Salon offers a very different more intimate setting. For those who are looking for an outdoor ceremony, the carriageway is licenced and allows guests to enjoy the historic surroundings while the couple say their “I Do's”.

The Marquis of Buckingham’s former ballroom provides an exquisite setting for the wedding breakfast for up to 116 guests, and there are also several grand and ornate reception rooms for you and your guests to enjoy throughout the day. The culinary expertise of our team of in-house chefs is on hand to create your bespoke menu from canapés to the wedding breakfast.

There are 23 luxurious bedroom suites offered to you, exclusively for your wedding night, providing the perfect end to your day at Gosfield Hall. The Rococo Honeymoon Suite needs to be seen to be believed and is certainly a bedroom fit for royalty. If one night is not enough, The Marquis and Yew Tree Cottage are both available to your wedding party, for the night before your wedding, allowing you and 26 of your nearest and dearest to awake revived and refreshed ready for the morning’s preparations and pampering.

Our planner Gaynor was brilliant
We were married in May 2019 on a beautiful (very hot) sunny day at Gosfield Hall. We chose the Grand Salon as our ceremony room which looked stunning and used the rest of the outside areas and rooms for entertaining. Gosfield is the most amazing place to get married and I would definitely recommend it as a wedding venue. Our planner Gaynor was brilliant to work with and the catering and bar team are all so lovely.  The food was so good and drinks also! The venue is beautiful and we love looking back over our wedding photos and video. We can’t thank Gosfield Hall enough for making our happy day so memorable for us and our guests.

I can not tell you how amazing Gosfield Hall is. This was the only venue we visited and we fell in love with it straight away! I knew it was the one. We had Sophie Soraf as a personal wedding manager, she was absolutely amazing! Nothing was a problem and she made sure everything was perfect through out the whole day. Harry & I will treasure the memories of our wedding at Gosfield hall for the rest of our life, and I know so will our families, it was the most incredible day. We fell in love with the venue and knew nowhere else would compare!
Myself and my husband got married at Gosfield Hall on the 17th November 2017. It was the first and only venue we visited as we fell in love with the venue and knew nowhere else would compare! Our wedding planner was Keeley who responded to every query I had prior to the wedding so efficiently. On the day itself, Keeley was fantastic, she checked in on us all of the time and was so calm and collected all day. The venue itself was perfect, the food amazing and all of the staff were brilliant and so helpful. If you are looking to get married at Gosfield Hall you will have an amazing day, it is a beautiful venue rain or shine.

I think we knew it was the one from the minute we pulled up outside.
I literally cannot explain what my husband and I first felt when we drove down the road and saw the beautiful building. Our jaws were literally on the floor. The grounds were sensational, so green and so well maintained. We were greeted by Becky who spoke with us about options and took us around on a tour to show us how the day would plan out. She was so thorough and explained everything perfectly. The Grand Salon is where we were first greeted, I cannot even explain the décor… Out of this world! Beautifully art-painted ceilings, a piano and a fireplace. That was just the greeting room. We were told that the same room could also be used for the ceremony. We liked that there …
