Our Summer Menu continues in our next Dinner Date Evening…

With the longer evenings still hanging on, you can enjoy a lovely cold glass of wine, whilst enjoying the views that Gosfield has to offer on our Library terrace before heading on up to the beautiful Ballroom for our taster menu for the evening.

The house is open from 5.00pm for you to wander at your leisure, visit bedrooms you have not seen yet, take in the gorgeous Queens Gallery again or stroll around the grounds of the house.

Dinner is then served at 8.00pm where just the two of you can dine, or you can bring mums and dads, sisters, brothers, best men or bridesmaids too… The more the merrier!

Our Head Chef Nikki has put together a specially selected menu, from our main menu, for you to come along and enjoy…

Starters

Warm Chicken Salad
Served with celeriac remoulade, pancetta and sage

Smoked Haddock Rarebit
Soft poached egg with creamy smoked Haddock on a toasted crouton
topped with a Welsh rarebit

Baked Camembert Tart (V)
Poached William pear topped with rich and creamy Camembert encased with puff pastry

Duck Confit
On a bed of pickled red cabbage with a toasted sesame and honey dressing

Mains

Slow Braised Belly of Pork
Served on buttered Savoy cabbage with fondant potatoes & a rich cider & sage jus

Herb Crusted Salmon
On a bed of julienne vegetables with a chive butter sauce

Forestiere Style Free Range Breast of Chicken
Stuffed with mushrooms and served with a rich red wine jus, baby onions and thyme

Roasted Vegetable Wellington (V)
Roasted seasonal vegetables encrusted in puff pastry served with a cranberry reduction

Desserts

Sticky Toffee Pudding
Served with toffee sauce and Baileys cream

Apple and Blackberry Tart with Blackberry Ice Cream
Crisp butter pastry filled with Autumn fruits topped with Almond frangipane

Apple and Rhubarb Streusel
Sweet pastry with an apple & rhubarb compote topped with cinnamon spiced crumble

Chocolate Torte
A rich chocolate mousse set on a brandy soaked sponge, garnished with cream and even more chocolate!
