Dinner Date Evening – Wednesday 5th December 2018

With Christmas fast approaching, what better way to set off the celebrations of the festive period than to have dinner here at Gosfield Hall.

Come along and try our fabulous hand selected menu by our Head Chef, sip your wine next to one of our four 10ft trees or enjoy the crackling fire!

The house is open from 5.00pm for you to wander at your leisure, visit bedrooms you have not yet seen, take in the gorgeous Queens Gallery again or stroll around the grounds of the house, if you want to brave the cold!

Dinner is then served at 8.00pm where just the two of you can dine, or you can bring mum’s and dads, sisters, brothers, best men or bridesmaids too… The more the merrier!

Our Head Chef, Nikki, has put together a specially selected menu, from our main menu, for you to come along and enjoy…

Starters

Wild Mushroom Risotto (V)

Wild mushrooms sautéed with garlic and fresh herbs topped with

rocket and parmesan finished with herb oil

Beetroot Carpaccio

Thinly sliced beetroot with a goats cheese mousse balsamic glaze and

Apple & Herb oil dressing

Ham Hock Terrine with Piccalilli

Confited Ham Hocks garnished with Salad Leaves and served with

Homemade Piccalilli

Crayfish Cocktail

Crayfish tails & prawns with homemade Marie rose sauce

on a bed of mixed leaves

Mains

Roasted Loin of Suffolk Pork

Served with homemade stuffing, buttered Savoy Cabbage Cider sauce & Crackling

Traditional Roast Topside of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding

Served on a bed of horseradish mash and a rich red wine jus

Croustade of Mushroom (V)

Baked Portobello mushroom filled with a mushroom fricassee and wrapped in crispy puff pastry

Pan fried fillet of Sea Bass

Served on saffron crushed potato with a prawn and dill cream sauce

Desserts

Dark Chocolate Fondant

A dreamy chocolate dessert with cherries and mascarpone cream

Lemon Tart

Crisp sweet pastry filled with a rich lemon custard served with clotted cream and raspberry

Crème Brulee

Rich vanilla custard served with lemon shortbread

Marmalade and Whisky Bread and Butter Pudding

A traditional dessert flavoured with a tangy orange marmalade and a rich Whisky custard
