Dinner Date Evening – Tuesday 26th June 2018

With Summer approaching… There’s a change in menu!

We offer special evenings called Dinner Date Evenings, where you can come along to the house for the evening for a beautiful 3 course meal and, of course, to visit your breathtaking venue again!

A selection of our Spring/Summer menu is now ready and awaiting for you to try at our next Dinner Date Evening on Tuesday 26th June!

With the longer evenings approaching, you can sip a cold glass of Sauvignon or something a bit more fancy… A Tequila Sunrise… On our Library terrace before enjoying our taster menu for the evening.

The house is open from 5.00pm for you to wander at your leisure, visit bedrooms you have not seen yet, take in the gorgeous Queens Gallery again or stroll around the grounds of the house.

Dinner is then served at 8.00pm where just the two of you can dine, or you can bring mums and dads, sisters, brothers, best men or bridesmaids too… The more the merrier!

Our Head Chef Nikki has put together a specially selected menu, from our main menu, for you to come along and enjoy.

Starters

Ham Hock Terrine with Piccalilli

Confited Ham Hocks garnished with Salad Leaves and served with Homemade Piccalilli

Roasted Artichoke & Asparagus Tart

Parmesan short pastry filled with Roasted Vegetables and a rich Egg Custard served with dressed Roquette Salad

Beetroot Carpaccio (V)

Thinly sliced poached beetroot with Goat’s Cheese Mousse & Balsamic Glaze

Chicken and Asparagus Salad

Served with Baby Spinach, Stilton and Pine Nuts

Mains

Free Range Breast of Chicken

Stuffed with Chorizo served on Sweet Onion and Potato Lyonaise with a Roasted Tomato and Smoked Paprika Sauce

Roasted Fillet of Salmon

Served with chargrilled Fennel and a Lemon Emulsion

Traditional Roast Topside of Beef with Yorkshire Pudding

Served on a bed of Horseradish Mash with a Red Wine Jus

Roasted Portabello Mushroom (V)

Stuffed with a Wild Mushroom Fricasseé served on Spring Greens with a Truffle Oil Dressing

Desserts

Crème Brûlée

Classic version of the English crème brûlée accompanied with a hand-made sable biscuit

Baked New York Style Cheesecake

Finished with summer berries- just like in the Big Apple!

Dark Chocolate Fondant

A dreamy chocolate dessert with cherries and mascarpone cream

Eton Mess

Strawberries & cream simply irresistible
