Surprising the bride

romantic

Gentlemen, let’s start thinking about ways you can surprise your bride, either before or after the wedding. If you are holding your wedding at the grand manor Gosfield Hall, there’s a number of intimate and ultimately romantic things you can do, just to show your special girl how much you love her. Here’s a small handful to ponder over.

One of the simplest things, but something the bride will treasure for a lifetime, is writing her secret love notes and sending her on a mission to find them. This is such a fun and genuinely sweet thing to do. Just think, with all that stress piling up, due to wedding jitters, last minute organising and so on, a little break of childish joy is just what the doctor ordered. Bride Box counted down the 18 cutest things grooms have done for their brides, and the love note proved a popular one. Here’s the story “This groom surprised his bride by collaborating with one of her bridesmaids to give her secret love notes throughout the day – one each for when she woke up, when she got ready and when she was about to enter the church.”

Now, they say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, well we’re pretty sure that works vice versa too. So, a good idea is to have a secret wedding breakfast, the day after your nuptials. Go a little boho, with a tent, some Persian rugs, a few pillows, and lots of breakfast delicacies in the rolling grounds of Gosfield, a good old fashioned bucks fizz wouldn’t go amiss either.

Another idea from Bride Box, is thoughtful gifts given throughout the day, something as simple as a packet of mints and tissues is all it needs to be. As Bride Box says “She’s stressed out, rushing between hair and makeup appointments and having to deal with all of her bridesmaids and family’s questions and demands. He sends her thoughtful little gifts throughout the day to calm her down and remind her that he’s the one that she’s marrying.”

We like the idea of sending her champagne and flowers, from Wedding Illustrated’s list of 10 ways you can surprise the bride, however, we feel that taking advantage of Gosfield’s ornate and simply beautiful reception rooms would be a lot better. So, how about just before your wedding reception, you and your bride, kick back and take it easy, enjoying a champagne cocktail, in one of Gosfield’s fairytale rooms. If you and your bride appreciate something that little bit more rural, then take the relaxation outside, this will be especially a pleasure during the summer months, you can both take a breather, as the sun shines down on you. May be even hire a violinist to give that extra bit of magic.

Remember, it’s those little touches that count the most. Your beloved will certainly appreciate any of these ideas, and it will be something to remember fondly for many years to come.
