On a slightly blustery but beautiful day, in the picturesque Essex countryside, Samantha and Andrew tied the knot at Gosfield Hall…
From a proposal out of a Hollywood film, Andrew got down on one knee with rose petals scattered everywhere, in a private suite at the Ritz in London (very posh!)
From there, they started their wedding journey by visiting us here at Gosfield Hall, where they fell in love with the cosy yet grand feel of the House. From the beginning they couldn’t imagine anywhere more perfect to celebrate with friends and family on such an important and special day in their lives.
Preparation starts early on their wedding day… Samantha and her Bridesmaids were made even more beautiful by Polly Neal, makeup artist and Brooke Painter hairdresser. As I’m sure you’ll agree, they all look absolutely stunning!
Once the girls were ready, it was deep breaths and onto the ceremony from the beautiful Bridal Suite. Samantha and Andrew chose to hold their nuptials in our stunning Inner Courtyard. Waiting there for their Bride to be was all their closest nearest and dearest, and Andrew of course!
Samantha and Andrew had carefully chosen to go with a Persian style wedding, which was reflected in their colours, flowers, centrepieces and favours. We think their theme complimented our already beautiful Ballroom…
They also had a fabulous cake made by Cookie Delicious, which they had displayed in our Grand Hall before ceremonially cutting the cake…
The new Mr & Mrs Adams then had something a little different in the evening… They had Sarah Chandler playing the saxophone throughout the evening, along with Bongos from James Ford Weddings, Drapes on the dance floor by Sue Son from Creative Wedding & Events with Love Letters and a Flower Wall by Sarah Butler from Little Big Things Essex…
We asked the newlyweds if on reflection, they had any advice or words of wisdom for either planning of their special day or the actual wedding day itself…
“Keep a spreadsheet, maintain a budget and use a bible of all your suppliers details/payment deadlines”
“If we could do it all again, we’d appreciate every second…”
They are off to the Maldives in December, so from all of us here at Gosfield Hall, we hope you have a magical Honeymoon and wish you all the best for the future!
