Gosfield Hall’s Most Magical Weddings

It’s Monday and I thought I would do a blog post on ‘magical weddings’! – from Royal weddings to celebrity weddings to movie weddings.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles

When Diana Spencer married Prince Charles in 1980, the wedding pictures became the images that defined an era. The dress- which spawned a decade of meringues- was designed by David and Elizabeth Emmanuel and featured a 25 foot train and 10,000 hand sewn pearls and sequins.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

After a 10 year romance, Prince William married Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday 29th April 2011. A million people lined the procession route to watch the happy couple while many more around the world watched on television. The Queen bestowed on them the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake serenaded his now-wife Jessica Beil as she walked down the aisle at a villa in Southern Italy in October 2012. She wore pink Giambattista Valli and Jimmy Fallon hit the dance floor!

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince

Following their wedding at a village church on the 11th July 2011, Kate and Jamie happily posed outside with the supermodel’s 15 bridesmaids, including her eight year old daugher Lila Grace. Kate looked stunning in a vintage-style cream dress and matching floor-length veil, designed by close fried John Galliano.

Sex and the City 2 – Stanford and Anthony

Mazel tov! In an extravagant all white room with beautifully lit trees, Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson) and Anthony Marantino (Mario Cantone) became husband and husband. Not only did the Brooms (bride-groom) walk down the aisle with a choir singing, but Liza Minnelli married them!

Love Actually – Juliet & Peter

She may be marrying the wrong guy, but Juliet (Kiera Knightley) and Peter’s (Chiwetel Ejiofor) wedding is still quite magical. After swapping I-do’s in a gorgeous church in front of all their loved ones, the happy couple walk down the aisle and are stopped by someone singing ‘All you need is love’.
As he continues, guests sporadically pop up playing instruments. This lovely surprise was all planned by Peter’s best friend Mark (Andrew Lincoln), who happens to be in love with Juliet (but that’s a different story!)
