Valentines Dinner Date Evening – Tuesday 11th February 2020

Are you looking for a different date night for Valentines Day this year? Why not come back and visit your wedding venue for a romantic three-course meal in the spectacular romantic setting of the Ballroom?

It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate Valentines Day, your anniversary or your forthcoming big day with us!

The house is open from 5.00 pm for you to wander at your leisure, visit bedrooms you have not yet seen, take in the gorgeous Queens Gallery again or stroll around the grounds of the house if you want to brave the cold!

The bar shall be open from 7.00pm for you to purchase a beverage to toast your evening together.

Dinner is then served at 8.00 pm where just the two of you can dine, or you can bring mum’s and dads, sisters, brothers, best men or bridesmaids too… The more the merrier!

Smoked Haddock Rarebit

Soft poached egg with creamy smoked Haddock on a toasted crouton topped with a Welsh rarebit

Chicken Liver Parfait with a Red Onion & Grape Chutney

A smooth pate flavoured with lardons of bacon, cream and brandy – garnished with salad leaves and served with toasted crouton and fruit chutney

Beetroot Carpaccio (V)

Thinly sliced beetroot with a goats cheese mousse balsamic glaze and Apple & Herb oil dressing

Avocado and Humous Salad and Toasted Pitta Bread (Vegan)

Ripe avocado, blended with chickpea tahini and garlic, served with pine nut and rocket salad


Roasted Loin of Suffolk Pork

Served with homemade stuffing, buttered Savoy Cabbage Cider sauce & Crackling

Breast of Duck

On slow braised red cabbage with pickled walnuts and a rich port sauce

Pan fried fillet of Sea Bass 

Served on saffron crushed potato with a prawn and dill cream sauce

Goan Vegetable Curry with Coconut Infused Rice (Vegetarian and Vegan)

Lightly sautéed vegetables, blended with curried spices and garnished with fresh coriander


Dark Chocolate Fondant (V)

A dreamy chocolate dessert with cherries and mascarpone cream

Apple and Blackberry Tart with Blackberry Ice Cream (V)

Crisp butter pastry filled with Autumn fruits topped with Almond frangipane

Baked White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake (V)

A butter biscuit base with rich cream cheese topping served with a raspberry coulis

Caramelised Apple and Date Pastries with Fruit Compôte (Vegan)

Caramelised apple and dates encrusted in soya pastry and garnished with fresh fruit compôte

Tea, coffee and petit fours shall be served at the end of the meal.

If you would like to stay overnight, this is possible too! Rooms are from £100 based on 2 sharing.

For the Dinner Date, included in the price of £46pp, you will receive a welcome drink on arrival and a three-course dinner.
