Christmas is said to be ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ and we find that all of our December weddings at Gosfield Hall take on the Christmas theme in abundance. This really is the best time to make the most of the season with fake snow and twinkling Christmas trees, guests wrapped in fur and the comforting aroma of mulled wine and scrummy mince pies. You could even have reindeers!!
Just how far do you take the Christmas theme? There are so many possibilities.. Am I going to have feathers on my wedding dress? Should I have a Winter wonderland theme? Should we have Turkey on the menu? It has to be said, the bigger, the better when it comes to Christmas!
Make the most of the snowy, wintry scenes by having some portrait photographs outdoors. Go on, brave the cold… There’s nothing more romantic than a crisp snow-filled backdrop!
A winter wedding would not be complete without a log fire roaring in the Grand Salon. Guests will be fighting for the prime position beside the flames enjoying welcome drinks. Why not go for winter Pimms, mulled wine or even hot chocolate!!
Ask your florist to incorporate winter foliage into your flower arrangements. We love this couple’s use of berries, glitter and reds to create a truly festive display.
