The most anticipated celebrity weddings of 2019

Whether we like to admit it or not, celebrity weddings offer vital inspiration to many couples. 2018 was a wonderful year to tie the knot in ‘celeb land’. Lovebirds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, and Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin all made it official. Last year was also the year of royal weddings with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank tying the knot in fairytale ceremonies at Windsor Castle.

We learnt a lot from last year’s celebrity weddings but you don’t have to take a nostalgic look back to gain all the wedding inspiration you need to plan your own spectacular celebrations. 2019 is set to offer plenty of food for thought as a legion of celebrity couples prepare to wed.

Lady Gaga & Christian Carino

It’s already been an amazing year for the singing sensation but could she make her year even more fantastic by making it official with fiancé Christian Carino? The pair got engaged back in 2017 and it was then when we first spotted the huge pink engagement ring that Carino gifted her.

Ellie Goulding & Caspar Jopling

Following an engagement announcement in The Times last year, wedding preparations are said to be in full swing for songstress Ellie Goulding and her businessman beau Caspar Jopling. They’ve been dating for two years. We see another great British celebrity wedding looming!

Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom

Their engagement may have only just been announced but we don’t think we’ll have to wait long to ogle Katy’s wedding dress. The pop starlet and the British movie star have been on again and off again for some time so news of their engagement, which was made public on Instagram on Valentine’s Day of this year, came as a shock.

Her engagement ring didn’t disappoint. Its quirky and completely one-of-a-kind, flower design features a 4-carat pink oval diamond surrounded by eight white diamonds.

Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin

They may already be married but the pair are rumoured to be planning a more elaborate ceremony and reception to celebrate with their nearest and dearest. Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin married at a courthouse in a low key ceremony that was completely unheard of in the celebrity world. Their 2019 celebration is set to be more in keeping with the glitz and glamour we expect from Hollywood’s finest.

Want your own celebrity inspired wedding?

Throw a wedding like the celebs mentioned above and make your wedding budget go further. As well as ensuring your entertainment, wedding dress (or dresses), favours and gifts are on-point, professional lighting is the key to adding that celebrity-worthy, wow factor as Bridal Guide (@bridalguidemag) explains:

“Celebrity weddings often have colored lighting on the walls, pin spotting to illuminate the centerpieces and pattern or monogram projections on the dance floor. If you’re on a budget but crave the ambiance, be sure to ask your venue if they have any lighting installed already, as many will have pin spots built right in. Dimming the lights and adding candles will also help with ambiance.”
